The Great Western Flat-Coated Retriever Club would like to thank everyone that made this test a success. The Hunt Test Chair, Ed Ferner, and the Hunt Test Committee worked tirelessly to make this test enjoyable for all who came.

We would like to thank our judges, without whom we would not have been able to have a test:
Russell Stewart, Lauren Bullock, Florence Sloan, Phil Deschene, and a special thanks to our judges out here from the great state of Tennessee Clint and Sherie Catledge.

Maybe we should relax a bit.

We had a wonderful turn out for the Hunt Test drawing dog/handler teams from California and surrounding states.  We had a lot of seasoned dog/handler teams as well as some that were competing for the first time.

Master Hunter Test:  The Master Hunter Test was a grueling 2 day event where the best of the best in our sport competed on the land and in the water for the right to have the awe inspiring MH after their name.  We had 50 dogs entered, 46 that started and 23 that received qualifying scores with several of those dogs completing their title.  Congratulations to all the dog/handler teams that received qualifying scores and or earned their MH Title.

Senior Hunter Test:  The Senior Hunter Tests were two 1 day events that tested a dogs natural instincts to mark, hunt and retrieve as well as the handlers ability to "handle" their dog to a mark on the land or in the water.  On Saturday we had  25 dogs entered, 23 that started and 15 that earned qualifying scores.  On Sunday we had 21 dogs entered, 18 that started and 14 that received qualifying scores.  Several dog/handler teams were able to complete their title.  Congratulations to all the dog/handler teams that received qualifying scores and or earned their SH Title.

Junior Hunter Tests:  The Junior Hunter Tests were two 1 day events that tested the dogs natural instincts to mark, hunt, retrieve on land and in water and deliver to hand.  On Saturday we had 26 dogs entered, 22 that started and 12 that received qualifying scores.  On Sunday we had 26 dogs entered, 23 that started and 19 that received qualifying scores.  Congratulations to all the dog/handler teams that received qualifying scores and or earned their JH Title.
